Tanya

Stylist / Mentor

Hair became a passion of Tanya Rae’s when she was in high school. She started as a receptionist at a local salon, and soon after became the stylist to many of her friends. Friends and people alike assumed she was a stylist since she worked at a salon, but to their surprise she wasn't. So when they'd say, "can you cut my hair," she would always say "sure". From that moment on, she knew she wanted to pursue a career as a stylist. Tanya went to Greenwood Beauty School, and soon started building her clientele. To this day, she still has clients she met when she was at Greenwood. That was over 28 years ago.

Tanya specializes in unique color and cutting techniques and is always in the mood for a good challenge. When Salon Zuberenz started an associate program, Tanya was the first to take on the new stylists She has trained over 5 stylists in the program, and takes pride in their skill and success. She feels you learn more from teaching than you do from just working behind the chair. When you teach you constantly have to challenge yourself to stay current on new techniques and styles, so you are creating an environment that is exciting and new. Tanya has been to the Redken Exchange program in New York twice, and is looking forward to going again. Tanya is a firm believer that you never stop learning in this profession. Styles will always repeat themselves in one way or another, but stylists are constantly finding new and improved ways to achieve something unique just for you. Tanya looks forward to meeting new guests in the salon and creating something new.
